Nissin Cup Noodle Red Seafood 日清 レッドシーフードヌードル
Nissin has re-released the Cup Noodle Red Seafood, a spicy modified version of their fan favorite seafood flavor cup noodle. First released in 2018, it seems like Nissin wants to add some heat to the hot summers in Japan. Fight fire with fire I guess? Since then it has been re-released every summer, only to disappear from the shelves again after hot season.
Having popped up several years in a row, this cup noodle should be worth a try, especially since I am a fan of spicy food. And noodles.

No huge surprises. Only noteworthy difference to the regular seafood cup noodles is the red looking soup powder.

Review
You recognize the familiar Nissin seafood cup noodle smell immediately once the water hits the noodles and the soup powder. But you can also distinctly smell the additional chili and paprika. This is confirmed within the first few slurps. The best way to describe it is as if you added a spoon full of Thai red curry paste to the bowl (note to self: try adding red curry paste to instant noodles). The additional spice is fragrant and aromatic, but not really spicy. It works really well, adding some more flavor, without covering the original seafood flavor completely.
